quality assuranceMillion Air Dallas has an established Quality Assurance System which, to ensure impartiality and autonomy, is separate from our maintenance organization. The purpose of our Quality Assurance System is to verify the maintenance and servicing on our aircraft is performed in accordance with standard airworthiness procedures and applicable FAA regulations. In addition, the system provides for continuing surveillance of our maintenance and support operations to assure that everyone associated with our operation is in compliance with company policies, procedures, and FAA regulations.

Million Air Dallas has an extensive Emergency Response Plan in place for a corporate response to any emergency that may affect our operations. The Emergency Response Plan is a coordinated effort of key individuals from all departments within the company designed to establish an efficient response to any type of emergency situation.

To ensure that safety remains a leading pillar of our organization, Million Air Dallas employs a dedicated full time Safety Officer whose sole responsibility is to provide the direction and oversight needed to govern aircraft safety and the timely implementation of safety directives, recommendations and initiatives in compliance with FAA rules and regulations, National Transportations Safety Board (NTSB) safety recommendations and industry best practices.
departure release
At Million Air Dallas, our Flight Release System is designed to add another layer of safety for both our crew and passengers. Before every flight, a Flight Operations Manager does a final check to ensure all regulatory and safety requirements have been met. And because we take every detail into account, the Flight Operations Manager reviews all flight planning and weather conditions before releasing any aircraft for departure.

Since 2013, Million Air Dallas has been designated by the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) to be Stage III compliant, certifying the highest level of safety management and professional practices across international boundaries. And for 10 years, we have maintained an Argus Platinum rating and have been a recipient of the FAA Diamond Certificate of Excellence Award. We partner with our local FAA Office as part of a voluntary safety management initiative that allows us to remain best in class when it comes to safety and aviation.
qualifications and trainingMillion Air Dallas selects only highly qualified pilots with extensive flight experience and an established, proven employment history. Captains must have a minimum flight time of 4,000 hours, and First Officers must possess a minimum flight time of 2,500 hours, and both must hold an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and a First Class Medical Certificate.In addition to a rigorous interview and selection process, all pilot candidates are subjected to an extensive background check prior to being offered a pilot positon with our company. Once hired, all Million Air Dallas pilots are trained to rigorous FAA Air Carrier Standards for Part 135 operations at either CAE or Flight Safety International, both of which are a FAA approved Part 142 Training Center using state-of-the-art Level D full motion simulators.
